Songna Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Songna mobile app, related websites where these Terms are posted, and the services, content, and features we make available through Songna (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account, tapping to continue, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using Songna, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Songna.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data.
1. What Songna is
Songna is a personal wellbeing and cycle-awareness service. It can help you:
- log cycle, symptom, and lifestyle information;
- view cycle timing estimates and forecasts;
- receive reminders you choose to turn on;
- review personalized insights, analytics, and weekly summaries; and
- access free and premium features depending on your plan.
Songna is not a medical device, healthcare provider, or emergency service.
2. Important medical and safety disclaimers
Songna is provided for informational, reflection, planning, and wellbeing purposes only.
- Songna does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.
- Songna does not provide medical advice.
- Songna is not intended for contraception, fertility treatment, or family-planning decisions.
- Cycle timing, symptom, and forecast outputs are estimates and may not match your biology exactly.
- If you have a medical question, a concerning symptom, or a medical emergency, contact a qualified healthcare professional or emergency services immediately.
You use Songna at your own risk.
3. Eligibility and age requirements
You must be at least 15 years old to create or use a Songna account.
If you are between 15 and 17 years old:
- you may use Songna only to the extent permitted by the laws where you live;
- by using Songna, you represent that you are legally permitted to do so and, where required, have permission from a parent, guardian, or other person with legal responsibility for you;
- you should read these Terms carefully and make sure you understand them;
- because Songna may process health-related information, we recommend that you review Songna with a parent, guardian, or other trusted adult; and
- we may limit, suspend, or refuse access where required by law or where we believe additional protections are needed.
If we learn that someone under 15 has created an account or submitted personal data to Songna, we may suspend the account and delete the related data.
4. Your account
To use parts of Songna, you may need to create an account and provide accurate, current information. You are responsible for:
- keeping your sign-in credentials secure;
- limiting access to your device and account;
- promptly updating inaccurate account information; and
- all activity that occurs under your account.
You may be able to sign in using Apple, Google, or another identity provider. If you do, that provider’s own terms and privacy policy also apply to your use of its sign-in service.
5. Limited license and permitted use
Subject to these Terms, Songna grants you a personal, revocable, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You may not:
- copy, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code except where the law clearly allows it;
- scrape, spider, or automate access to the Service in a harmful or abusive way;
- interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of the Service;
- use the Service to violate the law or the rights of others; or
- upload malware, abusive content, or deceptive information.
6. Your content and data
As between you and Songna, you retain ownership of the personal data and content you submit to Songna.
You give Songna the limited rights needed to host, store, reproduce, analyze, adapt, and display that content solely to:
- operate and provide the Service to you;
- keep your data synchronized across sessions and devices;
- generate the forecasts, reminders, insights, and summaries you request;
- maintain and secure the Service;
- provide customer support; and
- comply with legal obligations.
You are responsible for making sure the information you provide is lawful, accurate, and appropriate for you to share.
7. Premium plans, billing, and renewal
Songna may offer both free and paid features. Premium access may be sold as monthly, annual, trial, promotional, or other subscription plans when available.
If you purchase a subscription:
- billing is handled through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another authorized store or payment partner;
- prices, taxes, trial availability, billing dates, and renewal terms are shown at checkout;
- subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date;
- you can manage or cancel auto-renewal through your app-store account settings; and
- refunds are handled by the store or payment provider that processed your purchase, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
If you are under 18 and purchase a subscription, you represent that you are legally allowed to make that purchase and, where required, have permission from a parent, guardian, or the account holder or bill payer.
We may change pricing or plan features in the future. If required by law or by the relevant app store, we will notify you or seek your consent before a pricing change takes effect.
8. App Store additional terms
If you downloaded Songna from the Apple App Store:
- this license is limited to use of Songna on Apple-branded products that you own or control and as permitted by the App Store usage rules;
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Songna;
- Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to Songna, including product liability, legal compliance, or consumer claims; and
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you as they relate to your use of the iOS app.
If you downloaded Songna from Google Play or another store, your use of that store remains subject to the store’s own terms.
9. Availability, updates, and changes to the Service
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of Songna at any time, including features, design, forecasts, reminders, premium offerings, or supported platforms.
We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available, error-free, or suitable for every user, device, or location.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Songna at any time. You may also delete your account from the app where that option is available or contact us for help.
We may suspend or terminate your access if:
- you violate these Terms;
- you create legal, security, or operational risk for Songna or others;
- we believe you are under the minimum age;
- we are required to do so by law; or
- we discontinue the Service.
Termination does not affect provisions that by their nature should survive, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, limitation-of-liability, billing, and dispute-related provisions.
11. Intellectual property and feedback
Songna and its related branding, software, design, text, graphics, and other content are owned by Songna or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws.
If you send us feedback, ideas, or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that feedback to improve Songna without any obligation to compensate you.
12. Warranty disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Songna is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and availability.
We do not guarantee that:
- the Service will always be available, secure, or uninterrupted;
- forecasts, cycle timing, symptom insights, or reminders will be accurate or complete;
- defects will always be corrected; or
- the Service will meet your expectations or requirements.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Songna will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from or related to your use of the Service; and
- Songna’s total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Songna for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) EUR 100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including certain consumer rights or liability for fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law does not permit such a limitation.
14. Consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any mandatory rights you may have under consumer-protection, privacy, or other applicable laws.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as through the app, by email, or by updating the effective date above.
Your continued use of Songna after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
